UPDATE: 42-year-old Kimberly Johnson has been arraigned and is being held at the Hopkins County Jail on a $50,000 bond on a Felony 2 charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, in an amount of four grams or more but less than 200 grams.
Search Warrant leads to drug seizure and arrest
On Monday, August 3, 2026, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members of the Delta County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1300 block of West Dallas Avenue in Cooper.
During the search, deputies recovered loaded syringes containing a clear liquid believed to be methamphetamine. Deputies also seized additional suspected methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia.
A 42-year-old Cooper woman was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, in an amount of four grams or more but less than 200 grams. She was booked into the Hopkins County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
